What's the best song on Masta Killa's "No said date " ?

Yes,yes,yes,

I know it took me ages to write this poll results into the blog and all of my readers have been starving and craving for my words of wisdom but I’ve been a bit busy last month not believing my ears with all this RZA dissing on the internet by Rae and Ghostface. Even Inspectah Deck stated on the net that he didn’t really like the music Rza provided them with ... sigh . A few things come to my mind when digesting all that crap that should have been kept indoors :

1) From now on when Rae and Ghost rap about bitches I can only assume that they are talking about themselves cause that’s what they’ve proven to be lately !!!

Every Wu fan has been dreaming of and hoping for a Wu tang Clan album since Iron flag but we all thought we’d never see that happen again ... ever ! Now that RZA did what everyone wanted him to do: get the Clan together again and produce the entire disc , little Rae and little Ghost start whining Rza this and Rza that ... = bitch move !

2) Most of the fans know that it’s 2007 right now for the Wu and not 1993, or 94 ... 97. RZA said it before “why do that again ?” and most of us accepted that ( I think )
So why can’t the Clan members accept that ?

3) Yes, RZA uses live instruments and it makes the sound totally different . To quote a former French president : “Et alors ?”

4) RAE and Ghost: look up the word “gratitude” ! RZA ‘s musical genius is what trew you guys into eternal hiphop stardom back in 1993 !!! After you’ve looked it up , crawl to the RZA and get your knife out of his back and find a way of clearing up your mess and then you go to your rooms and write 5000 times “I’ll never butfuck RZA again as long as I live , promise !” And you can change your diapers yourself this time too !!!

5) Why aren’t the others like Method Man, GZA or Masta Killa saying something about this ? Do they agree with RAE, Ghost or even Rebel INS ? Or are they proving to be a bit wiser / More grown-up by adding no further ruckus ?Apparently Masta Killa spent several nights in the studio sleeping on the floor while RZA was working on the tracks so he must have liked the way the Abbott was going, right ? Speaking of Masta Killa : he’s already proved in the past that he has patience where others have none whatsoever ( Talking to you, U-God) and that he always sticked with the RZA no matter what. Curious what he has to say about all this ...

Back in 2004 his ( and our ) patience resulted in “No said date”, the final solo debut from the Clansmembers. I remember I had to search all over the place to find me a copie of this album in the shops but finally I got it and put it on back home ...

I wasn’t dissapointed at all : Artwork was great, bonus DVD interesting and nice, every member of the Clan showed up , even some kung fu samples , every important Wu Producer delivered the goods , ...

While others served up mediocre albums or sometimes even straight up rubbish , Masta Killa gave us a hell of a debut which still sounds great today . Nuff said (to)date !!!

This is shown clearly in the results of the poll: every song got at least one vote, no crap on this disc, people .I’ll admit i was surprised to see Silverbacks win the gold medal, didn’t really see that one coming ... maybe it’s me but I’ve never really felt this as much as most of the voters seem to . But hey we live in a democracy ever since the Greeks invented it, right ? Right !!!

I think it's weird that "Secret Rivals" came in last on the poll, considering that "Secret Rivals" was promised to Wu fans ever since, I don't know, twelve years ago? (I remember there being a 30-second song snippet of the original song online several years ago.) Personally, I'm a "Digi Warfare" guy, both because the song fucking rocks and because U-God's contribution is limited to three words: "Hit 'em hard!".

Great poll as always.

well ,I remember that this came out at the time that U-god was beefing RZA and when i heard that song I just laughed out loud but admired Masta Killa at the same time too: just a typical way for him I believe to tell U-god to just zip it , lol. Indeed one of the highlights of the album !

this is a great album. it was difficult to make a decision, due to the madd flavours this album delivered. i was gonna go wit queen or do the dance but it didnt seem appropriate for me lol digi warfare is a pure ol scoo banga. but my vote went to "school". the storytellin of this song really hit me. how the beat is slow.....it made me invision walkin into a place and being curious of what was up.....like some uncharted territory. then the beat picks up when MK said "pen in my pad with the proper title. who wrote the wholy karan or bible?" i love that song.

That ain't all the RZA dissing. Inspecta's man Fes Hater was talkin bout how RZA don't respect the Statten Island dudes. WTF? Half of Wu Tang's from there. Fes is just a replica of the Wu sound. If he don't watch his back, he's gonna get popped. He's a nobody, so no one will care.
